This is the 5th mainline game in the Animal Crossing series and it debuted to HUGE hype and numbers. One of the top sellers for the Nintendo Switch!
Taking place in real-time, players create a character and can explore the island in whatever way they choose. Gathering and crafting items, catching bugs and fish, and potentially developing the island into a full village filled with neighbors and friends.
Unfortunately for me, I got really sick during the time this game was very popular so I ended up falling off the hype quickly since the sickness kind of attached onto my experience of the game.
There have been many updates since so hopefully I can check it out again one day and enjoy all of the pleasant positivity and charm it has to offer.
